Set up ReelCrew

Before you start

• Claude Code with a paid Claude plan (Pro, Max, Team, Enterprise) or a Claude Console account
• Mac (Apple silicon or Intel) or Windows 10 (1809+)/11, 64-bit, with 8 GB RAM or more (16 GB recommended)
• Python 3 and Chrome, Edge, Brave or Chromium
• 5 GB of free disk space

1. Install ReelCrew

Open Terminal (macOS) or PowerShell (Windows), paste the command and press Enter. It takes about 1 to 3 minutes.

2. Sign in

Open a new terminal window after installing. Sign in with the seat key from your email. The skills in your plan download automatically.

No seat key? Sign in with your purchase email

Run the command below and confirm in the browser using the email you purchased with (magic link or 6-digit code). ReelCrew only runs on machines signed in to an account with a plan.

3. Restart Claude Code

Restart Claude Code so it picks up the new skills, then describe the video you need. reelcrew doctor checks what your machine is still missing.

Lost your seat key?

   Sign in at reelcrew.io

   Use the email you purchased with.

   Open Account > Keys

   Go to https://reelcrew.io/account/keys and create a new key.

   Sign in again

   Run reelcrew login --key <new key> on your machine.

Machines

Each account works on 2 machines, Mac or Windows. To switch, run reelcrew license deactivate on the old machine or release it on your ReelCrew account page, then sign in on the new machine.

When something goes wrong

• reelcrew doctor shows ✗ on an item: that line includes the command to add what is missing, or run reelcrew setup.
• Skills do not show up in Claude Code: restart Claude Code; if still missing, run reelcrew setup and restart again.
• A paid skill says there is no license: run reelcrew whoami to check the signed-in account, then reelcrew license sync.
• "command not found: reelcrew": open a new terminal window after installing; if it still fails, run the install command again.
• A new version misbehaves: reelcrew update --rollback returns to the previous version immediately.
